Self-Care from Anywhere: powered by HealthPulse AI

An interoperable, evidence-based multi-modal AI platform for HIV prevention, treatment, sexual and reproductive health, primary health, mental health and self-care — built through rigorous implementation research, co-designed with communities, and validated for national scale.

The Self-Care from Anywhere platform is a customisable, multilingual, locally contextual AI infrastructure — supporting HIV prevention, treatment adherence, SRH, mental health, GBV, and TB across southern Africa.

Every programme on the platform is underpinned by the same rigorous research framework — from community co-design through to national validation — ensuring safety, accuracy, and contextual relevance at every stage.

It is not a pilot. Actively deployed across public health systems in partnership with national Ministries of Health.

Self-Care from Anywhere, powered by HealthPulse AI, is Audere's answer: a customisable, multilingual, locally contextual AI platform for HIV prevention, treatment adherence, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, GBV, and TB — deployed in partnership with national Ministries of Health.

Self-Cav: AI lifestyle companion for HIV, SRH, & mental health

In partnership with South Africa’s National Department of Health (NDoH) and SHOUT-IT-NOW, Audere has developed Self-Cav, a confidential and judgment-free lifestyle AI companion available on WhatsApp. Self-Cav provides easy access to reliable guidance on sexual and mental health, HIV prevention and treatment, and pathways to care. The service is co-designed, developed, and maintained with community members, advocacy organizations, the NDoH BWise campaign and team, community and public health delivery partners, and Department of Education collaborators.

Self-Cav runs on Audere’s shared Self-Care platform including AI services, clinician tools, hybrid monitoring and evaluation framework, and secure backend. The common platform allows continuous improvement informed by co-design, studies, and live program learning, while keeping costs lower and reliability higher than standalone tools.

Implementation and research partners include Wits RHI, Higher Health, Shout-it-Now, CHAPS, and more. This shared platform enables cost-effective, shared resources to support the growing population of youth across South Africa coming to Self-Cav for advice, support, and information to power their own health journeys.
